It was an eventful summer at the Lake Taupo Yacht Club with lots of activity, including welcoming fresh faces to our Learn to Sail Program and hosting a flurry of regattas. Our youth sailors honed their sailing skills through our weekly training sessions, while even pirates made an appearance on Waitangi Day! Of course, it wouldn't be summer without indulging in plenty of ice cream during our Saturday ice-cream runs. And after exhilarating races, we've gathered at our beloved club house restaurant, Constables Kitchen, to swap stories over dinner and drinks. In this newsletter we showcase some of the season's highlights. A huge thank you goes out to all our volunteers who have dedicated their time to keep the club and events running smoothly, whether you've been in the tower, on the water, teaching newcomers, or hauling trailers off the beach. And let's not forget our incredible LTYC committee members, whose tireless efforts ensure the smooth operation of our club.
