Welcome
to the Lake Taupo Yacht Club, the 'centre' of sailing in the North
Island.
Hi all,
The
Zephyr North Island Champs regatta went off well, with the wind
generally behaving itself both days. Between 7 and 12 knots for racing,
and a gentle breeze for the BBQ and prizegiving.
Also the adult learn to sail was a great success, with those
participating progressing through very well and able to sail the
sunburst dinghies quite successfully in up to 12 knots of breeze.
The 14th to 17th December is the 420 Teams Sailing training
regatta, details here.
There is a Mighty River Power Junior Learn2sail course commencing
on 22nd to 26th January 2012 Applications are now open. Details here, and application form here..
If
you happen to be in Auckland in January, the Junior World 470 Champs
will be held in Takapuna. Well
worth a look if you are up that way.

There are several changes to the KT Rules and courses in the handbook
this year, so a copy of that section of the handbook is available
here.
Also new to this year is the on
line calendar here which will include all race
dates, regattas and club bookings for the
year.
Subs are now due, and can
be made on line, at
the club, by electronic transfer, or (heaven forbid) by cheque and
snail mail!!!
The club handicaps have been revised for the new year, and are
available here.
They will also be revised after every Wednesday Night Series.
